FAQ
How does ordering work?
Orders open every Monday at 8am and close Wednesday evening unless I sell out before then. Browse the week’s menu, add what you’d like, and reserve it for Thursday pickup.
Where and when do I pick up?
Thursday between noon and 1:30pm. I will set the table outside and wait for you. You will find my address in the newsletter or during checkout.
How do I pay?
Payment is due at pickup — Venmo, Zelle or cash, whichever is easier. No card or prepayment needed to reserve.
What if I can't pick up at the designated time?
If you can't make it during the designated time let me know and I can arrange a porch pickup. Just give me a heads up so I can have your order ready. For those coming after hours and paying with cash, please use the mailbox next to the garage door or under the doormat. Thank you!
What kind of grains you use?
All grains used are fresh stone ground whole wheat and/or high extraction flours, including the hard and soft white flours like Patwin (The Golden Loaf) and Sonora (Whole Wheat Sonora Scones). I do my best to list all the flours in each products page so you get to know them and your preferences.
What is high extraction flour?
High extraction flour is sifted flour from which the least amount (of bran and germ) has been removed. As an example, you might have seen high-extraction flour also called 85 Extraction or T85, meaning 85 percent of the flour is left after sifting (15% has been sifted out). Whole-wheat or whole-grain flour is not sifted and is therefore 100 percent extraction - grain in, flour out.
HE: high extraction
WW: whole wheat
What is Regenerative Farming?
Regenerative farming encompasses cultivation practices that enhance soil health without comprising the surrounding farm environment. This includes growing cover crops, incorporating compost to our soil, not using herbicides or insecticides on our grains, and using beneficial insects to help control pests.
